The Curtiss Jobling Presentation was really inspiring. I think more than anything it was eye opening to hear from someone thats been there and done it, his talk helped me undertstand that it is very important to work on improving your self all the time. To keep geting better and to be in peoples faces. Of course making contacts is very important but you also need to remind them every now and then that your here and be ready to snatch any oppurtunities that come your way.
It was very inspiring to hear about his passion and how it took him a whole career of animation to reach his true love of wirting. The highlight of the talk for me was how he spent years and years working on his art which was quite graphical and kept getting shut down by publishers because he needed to take the scary concepts down a little, and after all her went through including working on kids show bob the builder, he ended up writing his own strories which are right where he belongs, being able to write about what he wants. Although he went through many years doing something he wasnt completley passionate about, he is now doing something he loves and he is able to make a living out of it because of all he went through and all he learned.
